She is able to pin point problem areas and ease discomfort, at times able to eliminate pain, restore balance and provide sensible aftercare stretches and advice to help clients maintain the best health possible. She is also a "healer", a person who is gifted in providing nurturing, guidance and support to those who are drawn to this style of massage. Mandy facilitates Women’s Wellness Retreats that assist women to reconnect with their inner self while having the support of other like-minded women on a similar journey.
Mandy is a qualified trainer, having taught at Island
Health College for a number of years. She has conducted many in-service training workshops
on different topics for qualified therapists. A personal highlight has been conducting a
workshop on “Self-Care and Injury Prevention for Massage Therapists” and corresponding
workplace assessment for the staff at Saffire Freycinet in Tasmania.
Mandy runs her own mentoring programs for massage therapists and other allied health professionals. She is the founder
of the Sandy Bay Massage Centre in Hobart, a well- known and popular place for massage in Tasmania.
Under Mandy's direction this Centre grew to become one of the largest in Tasmania, operating seven days a week.
Since selling that business in 2013, Mandy continues to have a solo practise. After moving recently to Victoria, she now practises in Castlemaine.
She also operates a private consultancy business.
